at first glance i liked it but then something was tugging at me.

the shrubs are glowing.

also, its very layer-y/transparent, which i LOVE, but you made *everything* like that which sort of takes away from the effect.

maybe make some elements more concrete like the posts/columns and see if it makes other elements pop.

nice start though. i like the color palette.

agree with peepers about los glowing bushes. also, i think i just have something against cartoons. i'd like to see some real people in there. the cartoon vegetation is working, though. what is the idea behind the project? beautification through landscaping? local markets?

agree with dylan about the real people, as well as his questions ... try to find some people who, in their actions, tell the story of what is supposed to happen in this place.

the underlying photos create a fantastic angle and feeling of space! so much potential here.

Love the sense of movement through space here. It's accomplished well with a 2d drawing.
I agree about the transparency, nothing is grounding me in the image yet. I need something to come to the foreground. blacker lines, whiter whites. I don't think real people would hurt. Might be nice to mix the real and cartooned- and again it might not.

This is a beautiful start. Good work :)

some good comments...

also is the perspective on the porches on the left side correct? i'm not sure you would see the bottom if the porch from this perspective.

I think I over did the glowing bushes a bit oops... perhaps heirarchy is missing.

Thanks for the comments guys!
