Pedestrian movement out of the area, and zones showing the dead space. Works, no/yes?

A little addendum to the last note session: this area is NOT, I repeat NOT the "South End." This is the portion of a three-neighborhood section of town called "South Boston", or if you prefer, "Southie." The bottom half of our peninsula is one of these neighborhoods, but the top half (the area we should be concentrating on) is still just shipping, hotels, and parking.

With the dotted lines I was trying to insinuate that the primary flux of traffic is leaving the area, not entering it. Do you think it works?

Obviously some labels need to be put on, even for those familiar with Boston.

Ladies, give me some feedback.!

i can't tell what the dotted lines mean just by looking at it. arrows? color coding?

it might help if you add labels then post this again.

I like the greys. It will probably make more sense when the boxes are in. Maybe the lines can be more like little dots (peeps/cars) that when they get to the scrim turn into glowyness. etc... I'll post an example.
