more befores and [almost]-afters
The larger image is still in the works and nowhere near finished - But I'm hoping my Vertical Farm will stop being a creepy swamp creature [at left, complete with weird swamp plants hanging on it...] and something more along the lines of ... Water + Chicago winters + architectural utopianism = dramatic iceberg. At least, that's the goal.
Also, I keep thinking about what Heine always said: how our projects should never be represented in a gloomy way. That through the colors, the lightness, the playfulness or beauty of our images, we should instill hope in the minds of our viewers.
Feel free to weigh in... is it less gloomy/swampy yet?

Oh, and a sort of prismatic skin is in the works. Death to swamp plants!
it 'feels' happier :)
and seems more contextual
vertical farms have enough foliage inside anyways
im glad you took the lizard-ish texture off. and changed the color of the water. we dont need to be *that* realistic. haha.
you might want to consider a new texture for the structure, instead of losing it altogether. the old texture competed with the fenestration too much and in this new rendering we can actually *see* it. maybe something more subtle?
i like where this is going. keep posting.
Is there anyway you can recolor the original skin to an ice blue or something? I like the web-ish quality of the first one, just not the pea green.
i think to coloring is much better =) im excited to see the skin you are going to add to it. I think that will really add the extra umph! I like that you can see through it; gives it some nice depth.
put some floor plates in already! are there windows on this mother?
but no pancakes.
pancakes are for breakfast.
is it weird that i thought this was halis project until i realized she was commenting on it...?
maybe the before and after thing she started threw me off. haha.
